
| 10K COURSE: Starts at Wildlife Center and winds around conservation area wetlands, enters rolling hills on pavement for 10km out and back course HALF MARATHON COURSE: Starts at Wildlife Center and winds around conservation area wetlands, enters rolling hills through treed areas and past home sites arriving at Kootenay River where it is flat and adjacent to the winding river for 9km and returning to Wildlife Center via the same route in reverse. A very scenic route where bald eagles, deer and other wildlife are seen. |
| FIRST AID/AID STATIONS: The Creston Fire Department will be on site with ambulance and paramedics. Aid stations will be located approximately every 4km with water, power aid and cheering volunteers. PARKING: Parking is at Summit Creek Park approximately 2km north of Wildlife Center on hwy 3. Free shuttle service starting at 8:00 AM from Summit Creek Park to Wildlife Center. Shuttle service will run until 12:00 Noon. There is no race day parking at the Wildlife Center. |
| CEREMONIES/AWARDS: Presentations will take place at the Wildlife Center finish line at 11:45 AM. Best overall Male and Female award. Awards to top three Male and Female in each age category, Under 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60+ PROCEEDS: To the Walking Trails in Creston and Rotary projects in Honduras and Guatemala including the education of children and other projects.
